Employment opportunities in IAASA

01/07/2016

IAASA will shortly be conferred with direct responsibility for the quality assurance of the audits of Public Interest Entities.  This and other functions have been conferred upon IAASA by the Companies Act 2014, and the Authority now seeks to expand its Conduct & Legal Services Unit through the recruitment of the following:

1. Legal Services Manager

The Legal Services Manager will be assigned to the Conduct and Legal Services Unit, reporting to the Head of that Unit. The Unit supports the work of the Head of Conduct and Legal Services including the conduct function, registration of certain liquidators and provision of in-house legal services to IAASA.

The successful candidate will hold a third-level qualification or equivalent in an area relevant to the responsibilities of the post, and possess a minimum of two years post qualification experience.  In addition, experience as an in-house legal advisor, administrative and regulatory law and/or in systems of registration of members will be an advantage.  Knowledge of the public service tendering process and public procurement rules would be desirable.

2. Administrative Executive

The Administrative Executive will initially be assigned to the Conduct and Legal Services Unit, reporting to the Head of Conduct and Legal Services. The Unit supports the work of the Head of Conduct and Legal Services including the conduct function, registration of certain liquidators and provision of in-house legal services to IAASA.

The successful candidate will hold a third-level qualification or equivalent in an area relevant to the responsibilities of the post, and have experience in working in a legal services department or office or similar regulatory body.  Experience in working on a system of registration of members will be an advantage.

The deadline for the receipt of applications for both posts has now passed. Late applications will not be considered.
