Following the completion of a Preliminary Enquiry and the subsequent initiation of a Full Enquiry under section 933 of the Companies Act 2014, the Authority and Chartered Accountants Ireland Ireland have agreed Terms of Settlement (‘Settlement’) on the basis that it has been determined that the Institute failed to comply with its approved investigation and disciplinary procedures. The Settlement, which details the Authority’s findings and the associated sanctions, can be viewed here.
