Wednesday, 1st May, 2013: The International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators’ (IFIAR) 2012 Annual Report was issued on 25 April 2013 and is accessible here. The report includes a summary of IFIAR’s structure, activities and 2012 financial statements. It also provides summarised notes of members’ activities and developments during the year.
Additionally, IFIAR issued a press release regarding its recent plenary meeting, held in the Netherlands on 15 – 17 April 2013, which can be accessed here.
At the meeting, IFIAR members agreed to a work plan for 2013 – 2015 and charter revisions designed to facilitate IFIAR’s role as a global leader in audit quality. Members also agreed to conduct a second survey of audit inspection findings in 2013. The results of the first survey, published in December 2012, are available here.
IFIAR is comprised of 46 independent audit regulators from around the world, including IAASA. The group was formed in September 2006 to provide a forum for regulators to share knowledge of the audit market environment and practical experience gained from their independent audit regulatory activity.
