The Minister for Enterprise, Tourism & Employment is seeking a nominee for membership of the IAASA board

About IAASA
IAASA is Ireland’s independent regulator responsible for overseeing the auditing and accounting profession, promoting public trust and confidence in corporate reporting and assurance.

Who Should Apply?
The Minister is seeking candidates with:

  •  Significant senior-level experience in corporate governance
  •  Knowledge/experience in the auditing and accounting sectors
  •  Strong operational and general management background
  •  Experience managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders


Desirable experience includes:

  • Understanding of the public sector and its accountability structures
  • Knowledge of regulatory processes and company law
  • Previous membership of State Boards


Key Details

  • Meetings: Dublin & Naas (8 half-day meetings per year + 1 strategic planning day)
  • Remuneration: €7,695 per annum (plus travel & subsistence)
  • Term: 3-5 years (with potential reappointment)
  •  Closing Date: 15:00, Monday 30th June 2025

The Minister shall NOT appoint a person who, in the last 3 years, has carried out statutory audits, held voting rights in an audit firm, was a director or a member of an audit firm, or was employed by an audit firm.
