Following public consultation on proposed narrow scope revisions to the Irish auditing and quality management standards, IAASA has issued a feedback paper and published revised versions of the standards listed below. The main revisions relate to:
- the replacement of the term ‘listed entity’ with ‘publicly traded entity’
- disclosures regarding application of the additional ethical requirements for the audits of public interest entities and publicly traded entities.
These changes are consistent with those recently adopted by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB).
