IAASA publishes reports on the quality assurance review of public-interest entity audit firms

Today, IAASA has published a quality assurance review report in respect of each of Ireland’s seven audit firms that perform statutory audits of public interest entities (PIE audit firms).

Each of the reports summarise IAASA’s findings arising from the quality assurance reviews of the PIE audit firms that took place in 2020.  Where improvements are required in the design or implementation of a firm’s system of quality control, the quality assurance review reports detail those matters and set out IAASA’s recommendations. The reports also provide a summary of the audits of public-interest entities inspected as part of the quality assurance review and disclose the grade that has been assigned to each of the audits inspected.

Each of the reports can be accessed here:

2020 Quality Assurance Review Reports.

A guide to assist readers in understanding the quality assurance review reports can be accessed here.
