IAASA has today published summary information of its financial reporting enforcement activities undertaken during 2019. The Snapshot document may be accessed here .
The primary role of IAASA’s accounting enforcement activity is to examine the financial reports of those 95 listed entities within its remit for compliance with accounting standards.
In 2019, IAASA:
· examined 40 annual and half-yearly financial statements; and
· raised 186 separate matters with those companies.
As a result, 21 companies have provided 89 undertakings to improve their financial reporting in future years.
One company filed a re-stated half yearly report in 2019.
The outcome of 10 financial reporting decisions reached in 2019 were published by IAASA in the year.
