Council of the European Union adopts Directive on Statutory Audit

The Council of the EU has adopted a Directive updating, and introducing additional EU rules on the audit of company accounts, aimed at reinforcing the reliability of company financial statements.

Authority invites comments on protection of term 'Accountant'

Three additional accountancy bodies brought within the Authority’s remit
